Thanks! It ended up costing an arm and a leg but we love it, and they discontinued this size.

A simple, yet tasteful local brew, from my hometown of Passo Fundo.

F irst fresh hop beer of the season - local from Matchless Brewing, 100% Palisade hop load. Many fresh hops are a bit too grassy/piney for me but this is spectacular.

I’m gonna be real sad when this stuff goes away again (it’s seasonal).
To be honest, I started the night with some plain ol’ Budweiser. I know, for shame.

A beer called MacTavish from a Quebec brewery with a label all in French out of
a Heineken mug I picked up in Amsterdam. While watching this week’s episode of long way up. A good night all told

I took a 1 pin t 8 oz bottle of beer and left in the freezer until frozen somewhere between slushie and solid . Cracked that open and let it slowly escape as 1 pint of foam and 1/2 pint of beer topped with a film of slush. Combined both in a frozen pint mug leaving half the bottle full of ice.
Pale Ale remembered minutes before it blew up Improved!

Man I don’t know how anyone can drink hoppy stuff. It’s just so.. unpalatable

Was this on purpose? Never heard of beer bearing consumed like this.

On desert island, supplies are limited, still drinking Heineken.
Bonus points because tonight’s beers are angry beers because the people I’m supporting on this test really pushed my buttons today.

Unintentionally perfect pint with a perfect 2" head.
Maybe 4 or 5 like that would tell a different story. I didn’t notice one being any different though.

Dammit I still haven’t seen it.

I found it at a King Soopers last week and it surprised the hell out of me.

Also how do you like your fireplace thing? I've seen the larger ones but haven't decided if worth it.

I rode the cross bike across town for beers at a brewery until they closed. Then I went to the brewery next door for another before riding home back across town.

How do you like your solo stove? Ive been thinking of getting a smaller one that i can use in my backyard and possibly take car camping as well.
I was drinking some Ska Brewing beer from Durango last night after being out all day hiking and looking at Aspens.

I love this thing! Burns super clean, looks great, easy to move if needed... one issue I have is emptying the ash. Tilt and dump might work on smaller units, but at 45lbs, this one is a bit too hard. I wish they included an angled brush and dust pan set so you can just scoop it out which is what I do now with a straight pan.
They did discontinue this size, and it’s $700+ with the spark arrester which is frankly too much.

That sounds like an excellent plan. We’re going to meet some friends and a brewery for lunch then head to Denver for dinner with my parents and some family friends, so I foresee booze in my future.

Aspen gazing sounds amazing right now. I might attempt to find time for that tomorrow.
Solo is great. The Yukon is a pain to empty - only way to do so is to flip it and Yukon is 45lbs - but smaller ones should be easy. As you should keep the wood below the top, you’ll have to be careful about the length of your fuel, which really isn’t a problem with a 30”+ Yukon.

Thanks for the tips regarding the Solo!
I was on the Grand Mesa today and while still smoky from various fires the Aspens were great although its insanely dry out there. Never seen the Colorado river this low and there were multiple lakes/reservoirs on the Mesa and near Marble, CO (where we were yesterday) that are bone dry.
